A Brave New World in Child Protection Proceedings Begins
The CPPAQ Board cordially invites you as a staff member of OCFOS and Court Services, DCPL, Legal Aid Queensland, ATSILS, a CLC or the Office of Public Guardian with a role to play or interest in the new approach to child protection proceedings due to formally commence on Friday 01 July 2016.


This informal “meet and mingle” professional networking opportunity will give you the unique chance to meet colleagues from across all these agencies who advocate for:

  • children and young people as direct or Separate Representatives or Child Advocates,
  • parent respondents including those who make legal decisions for those with impairments,
  • Child Safety applications for assessment and child protection orders and supports QCAT in child protection applications

You will also get the unique opportunity to meet the policy team who worked on the legislation supporting the establishment of the new agency of Director of Child Protection Litigation and the Childrens Court Rules and broader child protection law reforms.
